Don’t Want a Huge Wedding? You’re Not Alone!
I believe that my dear colleague and I have done our part to convey the feeling that every wedding is a good wedding. While no one was seriously injured, no one was arrested or assaulted, and the bride (s) and / or groom (s) legally married by the officiant of your choice, the bridesmaid dresses was a success. Maybe things went a bit wrong here and there ... Baker failed to appear for gram had to go down to Publix for six sheet cakes in the rain, but said his "me two" and no one was without the cake.
Why am I bringing this up for the umpteenth time? Because it is my attention from time to time but there are plenty of people who think there is definitely the right to marry, and if you're not going to marry the right way, your marriage is doooooooomed. The right way usually involves white dresses, high heels, bridal veils, bridesmaids, groomsmen, great churches, the solemnity, being escorted down the aisle by dad music, traditional limousines, a tiered cake , father-daughter dances, distributed snacks, an open bar, and at least 100 of their closest relatives and friends, but a great many more.
The fact is, however, that some brides and grooms do not want the wedding attendants or hors d'oeuvres butlered or a flock of assistants or any other pomp and circumstance that often surrounds the modern wedding prom dresses . Some couples do not even particularly want guests than a handful of witnesses, and when it is a legal possibility, there are people who choose to have your officiant and wedding photographer providing legal needs. And unfortunately, sometimes these brides and evening dress feel guilty for wanting small weddings, if a question posted to MetaFilter is any indication.
